I will be honest here - I am feeling very disillusioned about online dating and dating in general. But, I think that I’m as ready as I’ll ever be to find the special lady who will appreciate me for who I am. I know that starting off my profile in this manner goes against what is normally recommended (should be upbeat and positive) but I believe in honesty! I am currently on disability; have my issues with depression and also have Asperger's Syndrome which is a high functioning autism; these two issues often go hand in hand. I’m lucky to have a great friend and his father who have provided some valuable moral support. While I’m disabled and searching for a companion, I am not searching for a provider (I am doing just fine and recently purchased my condo), and you shouldn't be looking for a provider either. I am sure by now that most have clicked on to the next profile, and that is just fine. If you have stayed, have patience and can look past these issues then we could be a great match! I very much enjoy the outdoors, especially the beach and also the lush forest around Mount Rainier, Mount Hood, and Oregon's coastal range. It would be great if you enjoy camping in areas like that as much as I do. In my opinion, nothing smells better than breakfast being cooked next to the campfire. During the winter months, I am an avid snow skier (my buddy finally coaxed me in to getting some new skis to replace my 25 year old relics). I have a season pass at White Pass and will be going often. I would be happy to have the company of a fellow skier. I used to be a pretty good golfer and I used to really enjoy going with my Dad. We shared the same sense of humor and we always had a good time on the course no matter how our round was going. Many guys would see golfing as an escape from their significant other, but I won't keep you away even if all you want to do is drive the cart (I used to walk and carry, but the last time I tried that was a disaster; darn old age). My musical tastes include rock from the 60's through the 90's along with some of the modern songs my kids introduce me to. As for movies, I lean towards action and science fiction (yeah, I am a guy), but also like some drama and romance (The Green Mile and Meet Joe Black both get thumbs up). So, if after reading all of that (wow, you're good) you are curious, patient and understanding (or maybe a glutton for punishment - lol). I might just like to meet you (especially if you like to paint - still lots to do). I know that my intent states that I am looking for a relationship, that is the long-term goal; let's start with friendship and build from there. The only way to know if the chemistry is there is to meet!
